I have been thinking about joining Weight Watchers online. I was just wondering if any of you guys have ever tried it & what you thought about it. I know a few people that have done Weight Watchers, but it wasn't online. I have about 30-35 pounds that I would like to lose. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! =)
I am now Katherine Clark, RN. I 'm officially a registered nurse! I passed my state board with 75 questions!! I couldn't be happier! Thanks so much for all the love & support! Now I can finally relax & enjoy the time I have left before I start work! =)
As most of you know, I recently finished up nursing school & had been preparing to take the state board. Well, I took the state board yesterday. =/ Honestly, I thought it was awful. I felt as though I had to guess at every question. All the answers seemed the same. I cried as soon as I got in my car. I had 75 questions. The max number you can have is 265 questions. So, that means I either did really well & answered high level questions or I did REALLY poorly. I'm trying to stay positive, but the waiting is KILLING me. I have to wait until tomorrow at 11:30am to find out my results. Some of my friends keep asking me how it was & all I can tell them is that it's nothing like any other test that I've ever had. I thought I was prepared for the test after the hundreds of hours I put into studying, but I don't think any amount of studying can prepare you for that test! Waiting is the hardest part though. I wish I could just go to the board of nursing website & put in my name & it comes up that I have been issued a license. Before taking the boards, other nurses had told me that it was pretty tough & that it was pretty normal to come out of it thinking "Oh my gosh, that was the hardest thing ever....I so failed!". However, they also said that that's the way the NCLEX is designed to make you THINK you failed. Basically, the test is just trying to see whether or not you are safe to practice as a nurse. I can not wait until tomorrow to find out my results! Ok, I'm through venting & stressing now! haha. Thanks for listening! I just needed to get it out! Hopefully about this time tomorrow, I will be doing a post titled "It's OFFICIAL! I'm Katherine C., RN .." Please everyone say a little prayer for me today! My emotions are running high & I feel like this is a HOUSE sitting on my shoulder & I'm ready for it to be LIFTED so I can breathe! THANKS!
Hey guys! My name is Katherine. I am married to my best friend & have a very loving family. I have a four-legged baby boy named Buddy. He's definitely a mama's boy. I am enjoying life right now. I recently finished up nursing school & taking my state boards VERY soon. I am so excited to start my nursing career. I have been married since December of 2009. I just started blogging in January, so honestly I'm still learning & quit new to the blogging world. I tend to blog about what is going on in my life. I don't have a set schedule, but blog when I get a chance. I look forward to starting work & getting on a set schedule & then hopefully I can set aside time to blog. I started blogging because I thought that it would be a fun way to keep track of what is going on in my life & a place to put all my thoughts & dreams.

Well, I won't be going with my friend to take her boards today. She text me this morning & told me that their had been a change of plans. So, I was pleased to know that I was already up since I had set my alarm clock for 7am and could get a lot of studying in today. I just knew that I could get to studying for my boards right off the bat.
Wrong, I went to the office & got on the computer. No, I wasn't on the National Council website answering NCLEX questions. I was on facebook. I told myself I was just getting on there to check it and not to navigate around to about 50 different peoples pages. However, this is much harder than it seems. You see, you're on one person's page, then, you see a person and think "Man, wonder what they're up to now days" and quickly click on their profile. Then you see a pretty profile picture of a friend on that page & think "O my she has her wedding pictures online now, I must look at them". Ok, you guys get the picture. Facebook is so addicting.
I stayed on facebook for probably about 45 minutes which isn't too bad, but too long when you have other things you need to doing instead. Like studying for your state boards!
After facebook, I turned on my laptop and went and got back in the bed to answer some NCLEX questions on the computer. BAD IDEA. The bed will make you sleepy! I answered about 40 questions and then my eyes starting closing and I was dosing off. So, I decided I would take a nap.
After my nap, which was nice by the way, I started doing NCLEX once again. I have done about 20 since waking from my nap....AND NOW LOOK WHAT I'M DOING! Blogging. Yes, I have been procrastinating ALL morning long and it is now 11:20.
I have determined that it is VERY hard to get anything done on a computer because there are so many distractions on here. If its not facebook its blogger. If its not twitter its shopping at Rue La La. O boy, its going to be a long day. But, I WILL GET THESE QUESTIONS DONE.
Do any of you guys experience the same problems? Or am I just a wierdo who lets procrastination take over me?! Ha.
Everyone please check out the lovely online store Rue La La!! They have amazing deals & finds. I stumbled upon the store while reading a fellow bloggers blog. I truely fell in love! They just had a Lilly Pulizter sale the other day & you could really get some amazing deals!! Please check it out. You'll be glad you did! =)
So, I have been missing for a few weeks! I will fill you in on the things that have been keeping me busy lately. =)
1) Being O so very lazy! Sleeping in & reading my kindle have been highlights of my days!
2)Hurst Live Review: This was amazing & I really learned so much! Gave me the confidence I needed to be ready to take my boards.
3)Spending quality time with my wonderful hubby! Going out to eat, sitting on the front porch, riding around with absolutely no where to go! Just me & him spending time together just enjoying each other's company!
4) JOB INTERVIEW=)
5)Waiting on the phone call to tell me if I got the job or not! I carried my cell phone & house phone around with me for days! Waiting, waiting, & waiting some more! AND YES, I GOT THE JOB=)
6)Race track. I've enjoyed being able to go to the track without having to carry my bookbag & study for an upcoming test. I've enjoyed just being able to be at the track & help out! I've also enjoyed being able to go to the shop & clean the race car before a race. I enjoy making the car look good, but while in school I never had time to go over to the shop & clean it because I was always studying.
7)And lastly, for the past 2 weeks I have been studying really hard for NCLEX. I take it wednesday...boy, I'm I scared to death. However, I know that God is with me & I believe that everything will work out perfectly.
And that my friends is what has been going on in my life the past few weeks! The next week should be a very exciting week for me! Tomorrow I go with one of my really good friends to take her NCLEX & Wednesday I take mine! So, by this time Friday I just may be KATHERINE CLARK, RN =)
Jason raced last night. It was a very fun day at the track, besides being VERY hot. His car was pretty good. He just had a little vibration & couldn't figure out where it was coming from. His tires were pretty decent which is really good, because it seems as though we always have bad luck with tires. The car practiced pretty good all day. Didn't have a good qualifying lap, but made up for it during the race. Came home with a strong 6th place finish. I was very proud of him. He ran a great race. The car looked awesome out there & everyone was commenting on how well the car was running. Overall, a great night of racing! So, I was one happy girl! =)
I guess thats all for today, I have to go back to studying for my NCLEX! I hope everyone has a wonderful & blessed day! =)
